The Xbox Experiences and Platforms team develops the tools and services that enable game creators to craft experiences, the commerce systems connecting publishers and players, and the platforms that support gaming across devices. We are seeking a Software Engineer for our Backend Services team that enables multiplayer game development. This team builds, maintains, and operates multiplayer services for Xbox across Console, PC, and Cloud, playing a key role in delivering innovative features to game creators. Responsibilities Collaborate with internal and external game developers and partners. Design, build, test, debug, and deploy high-quality service code used by hundreds of millions of users. Develop new online services and integrate them across platforms. Solve complex problems to enable innovative features across devices and services. Participate in a community of creativity, inclusion, and respect. Work on a world-class engineering team dedicated to reliable 24x7 services. Qualifications Required Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field, with experience in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python, or equivalent experience. Proficiency in English (reading, writing, speaking). Preferred Experience with RESTful APIs, cloud storage, and services. Understanding of data structures, algorithms, threading, and synchronization. Design, development, and collaboration skills. Experience with .NET Framework or .NET Core. Experience with Kubernetes, Linux, Azure, or AWS. Microsoft is an equal opportunity employer.
