As a Senior Data Engineer, you will be a key player in modernizing legacy data infrastructure by leveraging cloud-first tools and best practices to support high-impact transformations. Position Title: Senior Data Engineer Location: Remote - Colombia What you will be doing: The Senior Data Engineer will support a major modernization initiative to transition from a mainframe-based policy administration system to a cloud-based data ecosystem. You will work in a collaborative, client-facing role helping migrate, model, and manage large-scale data in Azure and Snowflake environments. Your responsibilities will include: Data Pipeline Development: Build and manage robust data pipelines using Azure Data Factory (ADF) and Dbt for orchestrating data transformations. Snowflake Expertise: Lead or contribute to Snowflake data modeling and development, enabling scalable and performant cloud data warehousing. Python Development: Use Python to support data manipulation, automation, and integration tasks across data workflows. Legacy System Modernization: Assist in modernizing data systems by supporting the transition away from mainframe architecture. Client-Facing Delivery: Work closely with business stakeholders to ensure data solutions align with evolving requirements and project objectives. Performance Optimization: Solve challenges related to warehouse capacity (e.g., Netezza) by enabling new capabilities in Snowflake and Azure.
