Job Description: As a Tax Manager, you'll assist with the management of taxes across the Latin America region. You'll handle all tax-related matters, including tax accounting, compliance advisory work, and managing audits and inquiries from Tax Authorities. You'll provide tax support to internal teams, brainstorm innovative ways to solve tax issues, and offer guidance on tax matters. You'll also work closely with external partners, such as outsourced accounting firms and law firms. Responsibilities: - Tax Accounting: Ensure accurate journal entries, reconcile direct and indirect tax GL accounts, and prepare current and deferred income tax provisions for LatAm entities. - Tax Compliance & Audits: Develop in-house capabilities, gather information, review filings, calculate estimates, manage statutory and tax reporting deadlines, and ensure material tax compliance issues are properly documented. - Tax Advisory: Provide tax support to internal teams, model direct and indirect taxes, identify opportunities for tax efficiency, research technical tax issues, and monitor changes in LatAm tax legislation and OECD tax policy. Requirements: - A minimum of 6 to 8 years working in the Tax Service Line of a Big 4 accounting firm, a large law firm, or the in-house Tax Department of a multi-national corporation. - Strong knowledge of Colombian tax law, regulations, and compliance processes. - Exposure to the tax regimes and compliance processes in Argentina, Chile, Mexico, and Peru. - Excellent communication skills, analytical and problem-solving skills, ability to work independently and collaborate with cross-functional teams.
