Optum, incredible ideas in one incredible company and a singular opportunity to do your life’s best work.sm **Primary Responsibilities** - Create, understand, and validate design and estimated effort for given module/task, and be able to justify it. - Be able to define in-scope, out-of-scope and taken assumptions while creating effort estimates. - Contribute architecture and design on various aspects like extensibility, scalability, security, design. - Manage and be accountable for professional employees and/or supervisors - Participation in design reviews, test case reviews, and production support readiness reviews for new releases. - Ensure timely and quality delivery as per release plan. - Participate in meetings/walkthrough session/group meetings to understand business problem/objective of project. - Act as a gatekeeper for production and analyze all code and infrastructure changes going in to ensure the quality. - Coordinate with development team and ensure a smooth and error free release, ensuring defect free releases to enhance existing functionality. - Build relationships with project stakeholders/business partners and focus on agile development through collaboration. - Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes. - Achieve harmonious working relationships with business partners and within team. - Ensure compliance with organization and project defined standards and processes. - Ensure the quality, architecture, and accuracy of released code. - Be an individual contributor (very hands-on) as well as able to guide and mentor team members. - Ensuring on schedule, on budget, on scope delivery within client quality goals. **Preferred Qualifications**: - Hands-on experience in Java / J2EE and related technologies like Spring Security, Spring Boot, Spring MVC and RESTful web / micro services, Hibernate, Spring Data JPA. - 5+ years of experience building Microservices. - DevOps: 5+ years of working experience in set up or maintenance of CI / CD pipeline (test, build, deployment, and monitoring automation). - 5+ years of experience in using automated deployment and release management tools such as Chef / Ansible / Jenkins. - 5+ years of experience of managing development delivery in agile methodologies such as Scrum, Kanban. - API / Web Services: 4+ years of working experience in Web Services / API, REST Architecture, etc. - 5+ years of working knowledge of build tools such as Maven / Gradle. - Database: Working experience of database (SQL or PL / SQL), NoSQL / Flat Database. - Knowledge of the performance, load and test automation tools and techniques (JProfiler / JMeter / LoadRunner / Selenium / Cucumber). - Worked on or managed teams using full in-sprint automation or ATDD methodologies. - Well-versed with Engineering Practices and Agile environment. - Expert in emerging technologies. Broad based and in-depth knowledge of complex technologies, tools, methodologies, the enterprise and industry - Understanding and knowledge of Security scanning methodologies and tools (e.g. HP Fortify, Whitehat, Webinspect). - Experience in Data Structure, Algorithms and Design Patterns. - Practical experience with Azure Search, or Elastic Search. - Practical experience with Angular or React. - Experience with CI/CD integration with Jenkins, Github. - Practical experience with NoSQL databases, preferably CosmosDB.
