About the Role We are seeking an experienced C# .NET Engineer to join our technology modernization initiative. In this role, you will lead the transformation of our existing commercial lending platform, migrating from a legacy C++ monolith to a modern, scalable .NET microservices architecture. This is a unique opportunity to work on a high-impact project with cutting-edge tools and best practices. Responsibilities Decompose complex legacy C++ systems into modular, manageable components. Design, develop, and deploy robust and scalable .NET microservices. Containerize applications using Docker and manage deployments with Kubernetes. Deploy solutions across on-premises environments and the Azure cloud. Participate in the full software development lifecycle: requirements, design, coding, testing, deployment, and documentation. Collaborate with solution architects, business analysts, and QA teams to ensure alignment with business and technical requirements. Write and maintain comprehensive unit and integration tests. Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues and performance bottlenecks. Conduct code reviews and promote adherence to engineering best practices. Mentor and support junior engineers as needed. Stay up to date with the latest tools, technologies, and trends in software engineering. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field—or equivalent professional experience. 5+ years of hands-on experience in software development with C# and .NET (.NET Core/.NET 5+). Proven experience in migrating monolithic systems to microservices. Strong knowledge of containerization (Docker) and orchestration tools (Kubernetes). Hands-on experience with Microsoft Azure, including App Services, AKS, Azure Functions, Azure DevOps, and Azure Monitor. Familiarity with CI/CD tools (Azure DevOps, Jenkins, GitHub Actions). Experience integrating code interpreter technologies is a plus. Previous experience in commercial lending or financial services is highly desirable. Skills and Competencies Deep understanding of modern microservices architecture, REST APIs, event-driven systems, and messaging tools (e.g., RabbitMQ, Kafka). Solid grasp of software engineering principles: SOLID, DDD, TDD, and BDD. Experience with database technologies (SQL Server, PostgreSQL) and ORM frameworks like Entity Framework Core. Strong skills in performance optimization, monitoring, and diagnostics. Sound knowledge of security best practices: authentication, authorization, data protection, and secure coding. Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills. Strong communication and collaboration abilities in agile environments. Ability to adapt quickly to changing requirements and business priorities.
