Job Title: Inside Sales Representative Department: Sales Reports To: Inside Sales Manager FLSA Status: Exempt Summary: The Inside Sales Representative is responsible for managing strategic and tactical customer relationships for assigned accounts and prospective clients. They serve as the primary interface between the company and clients, coordinating internal resources to support financial and growth objectives while delivering exceptional customer service. The role involves pursuing new business opportunities, maintaining detailed knowledge of products and services, and supporting higher-level sales engineers. Periodic client visits and providing sales quotations are also part of the responsibilities. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Revenue Management: Customer Retention and Growth: Retain and expand business within assigned accounts. New Customer Acquisition: Develop relationships with prospective customers to secure new projects. Quote / Proposal Management: Develop and negotiate customer quotes, including technical specifications. Order Management: Process orders, ensure contract compliance, and coordinate with departments for timely delivery. Account Profitability: Maintain target profit margins and address cost changes. Finance Management: Ensure timely payment of invoices. Forecast Management: Prepare revenue forecasts and analyze variances. Life Cycle Management: ECO Management: Manage engineering change orders. NRE Management: Quote and control non-recurring engineering expenses. Inventory Management: Manage reserve inventory and partner-managed inventory. Quality Management: Coordinate internal resources to resolve quality issues. Supervisory Responsibilities: This position has no supervisory responsibilities. Technical training and project management certification are preferred. Language Skills: Ability to interpret business and technical documents, write reports, and present information effectively. Mathematical Skills: Ability to perform business math calculations. Reasoning Ability: Solve practical problems and interpret instructions. Certificates, Licenses, Registrations: Valid driver’s license required; CAPM or PMP preferred. Other Qualifications: Knowledge of OEM sales, medical, and technology markets preferred. Technical background in engineering or computer hardware preferred. Ability to work independently and remotely. Professional integrity and personal stature. Basic computer skills; ERP and CRM knowledge desired. Willingness to travel up to 25% domestically and possibly internationally.
