Job Description Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking a skilled Data Architect to join our Professional Services organization. In this role, you'll work closely with customers to design, implement, and manage AWS solutions that meet their technical requirements and business objectives. As a trusted advisor to our customers, you will be responsible for leading the implementation process, ensuring adherence to best practices, optimizing performance, and managing risks throughout the project. Key Responsibilities 1. Data Architecture Implementation: Help customers define and implement data architectures such as Data Lake, Lake House, and Data Mesh. 2. Technical Assessments: Deliver on-site technical assessments with partners and customers to understand their requirements and create packaged Data & Analytics service offerings. 3. Stakeholder Engagement: Engage with customer's business and technology stakeholders to create a compelling vision of a data-driven enterprise in their environment. 4. AWS Collaboration: Collaborate with AWS field sales, pre-sales, training, and support teams to help partners and customers learn and use AWS services such as Athena, Glue, Lambda, S3, DynamoDB, Amazon EMR, and Amazon Redshift. Requirements - 3+ years of experience in cloud architecture and implementation, preferably with AWS - 3+ years of database experience (e.g., SQL, NoSQL, Hadoop, Spark, Kafka, Kinesis) - 3+ years of experience delivering cloud projects or cloud-based solutions - Ability to communicate effectively in English within technical and business settings - Bachelor's degree in Business, Computer Science, or related field Preferred Qualifications - 3+ years of external or internal customer-facing, complex, and large-scale project management experience - Proficiency in a wide range of AWS services (e.g., EC2, S3, RDS, Lambda, IAM, VPC, CloudFormation) - Experience with automation and scripting (e.g., Terraform, Python) - Expertise in performance optimization and cost management for cloud environments - Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment - AWS Professional level certifications (e.g., Solutions Architect Professional, DevOps Engineer Professional) preferred Amazon is committed to a diverse and inclusive workplace and is an equal opportunity employer.
