Involves the day-to-day maintenance of Company vehicles, electrical systems, ground equipment, location-specific equipment, and Company aircraft to ensure they operate safely and effectively. Lead or senior levels of these positions may include: Handling escalated or more complex issues; Coordinating team activities or those of agency contract staff; Supporting supervisor or manager activities; Supporting the design, review, and implementation of processes and procedures. General job description: Under limited supervision, completes the following activities: Performs general aircraft and GSE repairs and modifications at assigned locations, using accepted procedures and following all approved manuals; Monitors or conducts aircraft fueling at field locations to avoid fueling delays; Documents maintenance performed and materials used in accordance with company procedures; Ensures precautionary measures are accomplished with regard to required aircraft inspections and/or checks, aircraft fueling, and ground equipment operations; Provides for towing, hangaring, washing, and preparation of aircraft for maintenance ferry to another station; Provides training for other aviation maintenance technicians, ramp employees, and other employees as required; Signs for the airworthiness of aircraft after scheduled maintenance and acts as RII designee of safety flight items; Interprets MEL and makes immediate decisions on the airworthiness of aircraft on site; Performs other duties as assigned. Minimum Requirements: Education: Bachelor's Degree or equivalent; Aeronautical Maintenance Technician license or higher in aircraft maintenance; Fluent in English (600 TOEIC points). Experience: A&P licenses required; 42 months aircraft maintenance experience, including 26 months on aircraft types and equipment operated in the FedEx fleet or equivalent; Experience excludes A&P school training; ability to obtain A/C Run & Taxi certification; Ability to determine electrical, avionic, and mechanical functions and replace components in all A/C systems; Familiarity with parts loan procedures, IATP, and exchange procedures; Working knowledge of all applicable A/C manuals, manufacture manuals, and wiring diagrams; Skills: Ability to work independently and exercise sound judgment; Willingness to work odd weeks, rotating shifts, overtime, weekends, and holidays; Valid non-restricted driver’s license; Medical exam clearance; Valid FAA and DGAC licenses; #J-18808-Ljbffr
