Tech Product Manager (with Software Development Background) Contractor Fulltime We're looking for a hands-on technical product manager, someone who has worked as a developer, thinks like an engineer, and thrives in organizing people, scope and logic. If you're tired of just running ceremonies and want to be part of the specs and business decisions, we want you. Who are we? Cloudnonic Corp. is a digitally native software and cloud StartUp located in the Kitchener/Waterloo area in Ontario, Canada. We are a fully remote company with developers in Canada and South America. Our clients are spread all around the world, from Europe to North America to South America. The variety of industries we work in fascinates us. From healthcare to the financial sector, construction, and manufacturing. We are passionate about understanding our clients' fields to serve them with technology best while also learning about their business and their industry. We are big on AI and the cloud. It excites us to see how quickly an idea can be transformed into a global product and launched to millions thanks to the cloud. Our services range from app and website development to any AI or cloud integration you can think of. Another huge impact we have at Cloudnonic is through technology consulting. We actively develop feasible, secure, cost-effective architectures for our non-technical clients and advise them in their tech stack. Job Description We are looking to expand our team with a positive-spirited person with spectacular project management and scrum skills. As a project manager, you have the opportunity to organize and coordinate multiple client projects at once. Each project has its own tech stack, code, and quirks. This is super exciting as it exposes you not only to a tremendous number of different technologies but also trains your skills to tackle any challenge that comes your way. Being able to switch from one project to another certainly gives you a boost for your career development. Each project has its own composition of people, which makes leading them very attractive. You'll be working directly with the CEO of the company to ensure all projects are on track and that specs and deadlines are met. All this happens while having a lot of fun before, during, and after work. In this position, you'll be challenged constantly. This is not a Scrum Master role focused on facilitating meetings. We are looking for a proactive technical mind who will challenge business logic, co-design specs with the client, and ensure delivery is meaningful, not just “on time” What will help you succeed? • Help to identify and communicate a clear vision of the project's objectives and motivate the project team to achieve them. • Create an environment where problems can be raised without fear of blame, retribution, or being judged, enabling peak performance by team members and maintaining and growing our team culture. • Being flexible and goal-oriented with forensic attention to detail. • Open to receiving and acting on feedback. • Knowing the benefits and disadvantages of being a contractor vs. an employee. What will you do: • Manage and facilitate the scrum team's daily work, removing impediments and providing the specifications required. • You will be responsible for the organization and smooth execution of multiple software development projects simultaneously. • Plan day-to-day coordination and quality assurance for multiple projects and tasks. • Work closely with the developers to ensure product backlog is visible and prioritized towards business value. • Deliver and own project outcomes aligned to established cost, timeframe, deliverables, and scope objectives. • Functionally QA features, ticket developments, and code review for a satisfactory resolution. • Assist with internal and external communication, improving transparency, and radiating information. • Set up Epics and user stories in a way that ensures a successful development. • Report to the CEO and the client about project status and updates. • Bonus: Reviewing code ensures our code is clean, scalable, high-quality, and extendible. We are welcoming a self-starter and self-motivated engineer that can organize his/her day autonomously. We trust in you and your ability to prioritize tasks throughout the week and keep the team and clients updated along the way. Requirements • 2-3 years of experience as a Project Manager in Agile Methodologies (mainly Scrum) - Must Have. • 2-3 years of experience in software development projects - Must Have. • 2+ years of experience in a developer role before transitioning into project or agile leadership — Must Have • Strong understanding of software architecture, business logic, and technical specs • Speak Spanish fluently. • Advanced English level (must be able to keep a conversation with the customer without problems if needed). • Excellent management skills and ability to easily pivot quickly from one contextual focus to another. • Ability to manage and guide junior/semi-senior developers. The team will look up to you to define the morale and pace of the projects. • Quality at all times mindset. Ability to understand what the client is expecting and guide the team towards its successful fulfillment. • Ability to lead and motivate the team. • Knowledge of programming is a big plus. Bonus: • Good, concise, and efficient communication (written and oral) • Experience co-authoring business or technical specifications • Past experience mentoring dev teams or leading product/feature decisions • Experience in small startups or early-stage tech environments where adaptability was key What Do We Offer? Fully Remote: Work from home (WFH) or anywhere you want. We embrace the location-independent way of working, and we know you do, too. Competitive Pay: We offer attractive pay that competes with the best in the Latin American market, customized to your seniority and skills. As a bonus, select your preferred currency for payments! Payment in Crypto: We offer to pay in cryptocurrency if you want. Full-time Contractor: We know you manage your money better than any employer could. That's why we appreciate you as a contractor for streamlining your finances. Flexible Work Time: At Cloudnonic, we know that everyone is different and has different schedules and biological rhythms. We work in multiple time zones. You can work whenever you want because we trust you to get your stuff done. Great Company Culture: We want to have fun and a great time while we work. We are convinced that finding the balance between working hard and feeling accomplished while enjoying the journey by having a good time is possible. Gaming: Who doesn't have fun playing an online game against your colleagues while connected in Discord. Yep, that's what we do at Cloudnonic. Huge Technical Exposure: The number of technologies and challenges you'll be facing in a short amount of time is spectacular. Have you ever experienced getting bored by the same repositories? That's not going to happen at Cloudnonic. International Global Client Exposure: Our clients are based in the US, Canada, and Germany, among other countries. We are excited about the different languages, (corporate) cultures, and people we get to work with. Professional Development: At Cloudnonic, we want to foster the growth of knowledge; that's why we sponsor online courses and certifications on demand. Career Development: Develop your career within multiple industries and get knowledge not only about code but also about an industry. Interested?
