The DDPO assesses risk related to vendors, assets, and processing activities involving business data, personal data, intellectual property, and crown jewels. Its jurisdiction is global and spans across numerous regulations. This role will be accountable for ensuring adherence to Data Privacy policy and practices for the area, with the full support of the Global Data Privacy organization. Data Privacy Specialist oversees the completion of all necessary assessments which may include Vendor Risk Management, Asset Risk Management, and Privacy Impact Assessment. The Data Privacy Specialist is responsible for ensuring that respondents have answered all questions in an assessment of expectations of the DDPO and that the assessment is ready for final review/approval. The Data Privacy Specialist will need to be familiar with: **Primary Responsibilities** - Building a global, cohesive network that supports and enables Data Privacy by design. - Driving the roll-out of Data Privacy best practices training initiatives to the appropriate, area audiences. - Consulting on key data privacy initiatives. - Response to Data Privacy inquiries. - Incident Response to suspected breaches of data - Proper protection of personal data in your area. - Contact for questions and issues around LA North Region countries legislation in partnership with Legal department - Plan and execute communication and education on skill building programs and courses - Build a bridge between local and global teams. - Identify leaders in the area who can actively and visibly support the organizational Data Privacy capability development - Participate in LA Data Privacy Network group monthly sharing experience and benchmarking. - Advocate for enterprise Data Privacy by recognizing and speaking to capability gaps. - Speak on behalf of the Global Data Privacy organization to area audiences within the region, educating them on Data Privacy best practices. - Consult on key area projects, process or any initiative touching personal data to ensure key Data Privacy concepts are being applied and drive successful outcomes. - Conduct Data Privacy Assessments for the region including vendor risk and asset identification **Required qualifications** - A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in Technology or Law or equivalent experience. - Minimum of 3 years’ experience working with Data Privacy regulation requirements. - General understanding of Colombia Data Privacy regulation requirements. - Fluent English and Spanish. **P**referred qualifications include** - General understanding of Mexico, Costa Rica and Venezuela Data Privacy regulations requirements. - Project management experience. - Six Sigma Experience. - Experience working in the OneTrust privacy Platform. - Ability to speak Portuguese. **Your skills, knowledge and abilities include** - Communication - Interpersonal Effectiveness.
