Job description: provides psychological services to students in accordance with policies and regulations of the educational institution. key responsibilities: - assists school personnel in understanding general knowledge regarding psychological services - contributes to establishing and implementing procedural requirements for the assessment, eligibility, and placement of special education students - administers individual psychodiagnostic techniques for the assessment of intelligence, personality, aptitude, achievement, and perception - evaluates and identifies students who have learning, social, and/or emotional problems which are adversely affecting their education - observes students in the classroom as needed for assessment, consultation, or other psychoeducational services - prepares and presents reports on psychological evaluations for the eligibility committee - serves as a member of the special education eligibility committee - collaborates with teachers and school leaders to implement evidence-based practices for universal, targeted, and intensive academic and behavioral support programs - interprets test results to parents and teachers as appropriate - facilitates collaboration and coordination between school and community providers to ensure access to wraparound supports for students with significant needs - provides counseling for individual students as specified in the individualized education plan (iep) - participates in child study and/or iep meetings - orders supplies and equipment needed for psychological services - assists with communication between re...
