Job title environmental manager latam is responsible for monitoring and supervising compliance with environmental obligations associated with projects under construction and operating plants. the role involves preventing and mitigating environmental risks to avoid potential sanctioning processes. key responsibilities - develop environmental prefeasibility assessments for projects under development, in coordination with development teams in each of the latam countries where we operate. - conduct environmental risk evaluations for all development-stage projects in zelestra latam. - support the negotiation process for the acquisition or co-development of third-party projects identified by the development teams as business opportunities. - design environmental plans that ensure full compliance with environmental instruments for projects under construction. - supervise the implementation of environmental plans and ensure compliance with our environmental standards, minimizing the likelihood and impact of previously assessed environmental risks. - lead and propose modifications to environmental instruments that aim to reduce risk probability and impact in environmental risk management. - oversee and support the execution of mandatory and voluntary environmental activities carried out across projects and plants. - prepare and support the execution of environmental monitoring reports for authorities in countries where we operate, as well as reports for project financiers. - conduct environmental analyses to support executive-level decision-making, providing key inputs for the ex...
