Purpose The Information Security & Control SeniorManager will participate and manage various aspects of informationsecurity and contribute to the overall success of the U.S.Information Security & Control's governance and risk program. This role requires a seasoned professional with a strong backgroundin information security, vendor risk management, technology risk,compliance, policy, and governance. The Information SecurityManager will manage and evaluate vulnerability and technologyrisks, implement risk mitigation strategies, and safeguard the Bankfrom potential informational security threats. What You’ll Do -Establish and maintain a detailed understanding of Scotiabank’s Third-Party Risk Management (TPRM) practices and priorities. -Evaluation of security controls and contract language to ensure Scotiabank’s third parties maintain a security posture aligned withindustry best practices. - Cybersecurity and Technology RiskGovernance: - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and riskculture should be considered in day-to-day activities anddecisions. - Identifying and assessing cybersecurity and technologyrisks to ensure compliance with regulations and internal policies. - Identify and evaluate potential technology risks that wouldimpact the Bank. - Communicate risk assessments and updates toexecutive leadership and collaborate with various departments tomanage risks effectively. - Policy and Procedure Development: -Review and maintain cybersecurity policies, standards, andprocedures. - Provide guidance to internal stakeholders oncybersecurity best practices. - Prepare regular reports andpresentation decks on risk management for senior management andstakeholders. - Provide insights and recommendations for continuousimprovement. - Vulnerability Analysis Risk Management - Identifyingand assessing vulnerabilities, prioritizing and coordinatingremediation efforts. - Monitor and track the progress of riskmitigation efforts related to cybersecurity. - Analyze scan resultsto assess the severity and potential impact of identifiedvulnerabilities. - Prepare and present vulnerability reports tosenior management and relevant stakeholders. - Actively pursueseffective and efficient operations in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values and Code of Conduct. - Champions a high-performanceenvironment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. WhatYou’ll Bring - Required 7+ years of experience in InformationSecurity or related cybersecurity field. - Experience in IT keysecurity controls/mechanisms and risk assessment concepts. - Strongverbal and written communication skills in English. - Understandingof Third-Party Risk Management related to Information Security. -Cybersecurity related certification is preferred (CRISC, CISM,CISSP). - University degree or college diploma in a cybersecurityrelated field is preferred.
