Senior Protection Officer This position involves working as a key member of the protection team to ensure that persons of concern receive timely and effective support. Job Description: - The Senior Protection Officer will provide guidance and oversight to junior colleagues in the delivery of protection services. - He/she will also conduct needs assessments, develop protection strategies, and implement activities to address identified needs. Key Responsibilities: 1. Protection Support: Provide technical assistance to programme staff on protection-related issues. 2. Needs Assessment: Conduct regular needs assessments to identify gaps in protection services. 3. Strategy Development: Develop and implement protection strategies to address identified needs. 4. Coordination: Liaise with local authorities, partners, and stakeholders to ensure coordination and cooperation. Requirements: - Educational Background: Bachelor's degree in Law, Political Science, or related field. - Work Experience: At least 2 years of experience in protection work, preferably in a humanitarian context. - Languages: Proficiency in English and Spanish is required.
