Job Highlights Schedule: Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 2:00 PM | Eastern Standard Time Work Arrangement: Work from home Side note: Since this is a permanent work-from-home position and an “Independent Contractor” arrangement, the candidates must have their own computer and internet connection. They will handle their own benefits and taxes. The professional fees are on hourly rates and the rate depends on your performance in the application process. Responsibilities Conduct outbound calls to Spanish-speaking patients to collect copayments and outstanding account balances Obtain and securely update patient credit card information for seamless payment processing Provide clear, empathetic explanations of patient balances related to copays, deductibles, and insurance coverage issues Assist patients with insurance termination notifications and guide them through obtaining new coverage Perform comprehensive insurance verification and eligibility checks to ensure accurate billing Update and maintain accurate patient demographic information including addresses, dates of birth, and contact details Collect and verify new insurance information from patients to prevent billing delays Collaborate with patients to establish manageable payment plans when needed Handle accounts receivable and insurance denials related to policy terminations (expanding responsibility) Process and submit insurance claims as role develops (future growth opportunity) Communicate effectively with internal English-speaking team members while providing Spanish-language patient support Requirements 2-5 years of hands-on medical billing experience with demonstrated expertise Complete fluency in both English and Spanish (speaking, listening, and comprehension) Strong knowledge of medical billing processes, including copays, deductibles, and insurance claims management Proven experience with insurance verification and eligibility determination processes Excellent ability to explain complex billing concepts clearly and compassionately to patients Outstanding communication and customer service skills for sensitive patient interactions Familiarity with Electronic Health Record (EHR) systems, with Sessions Health experience preferred Experience providing phone-based customer service in healthcare or related field Comfortable working in a fast-paced, growing healthcare environment Reliable internet connection and quiet workspace for professional patient communications Permanent work from home Immediate hiring Reminder: Kindly apply directly to the link provided; you will be redirected to BruntWork’s Career Site.
