About the Role We are seeking a Technical Support Associate to contribute to the overall success of the GTEP – Infrastructure Operations (Private Cloud/VMOPs) in Canada / Globally ensuring systems level support for production critical systems, development systems, implementation support and user acceptance environment support on a global basis. Key Responsibilities - Provide technical assistance to users, preventing problems in a 7x24 production environment. - Conduct systems capacity planning and recommend solutions to overcome resource constraints. - Install and update systems level software. - Execute individual goals, plans, initiatives in support of the team's business strategies and objectives. - Maintain systems integrity and reliability based on SLA. Requirements - A strong working knowledge of Intel hardware configuration and support. - A strong working knowledge of Windows server Operating Systems. - A strong working knowledge of shell/script programming. - A good working knowledge of clustering technologies. - A good working knowledge of TCP/IP networking. - A good working knowledge of virtualization platforms. - Minimum 5 years of job-related experience with problem-solving, analytical and proactive problem-solving skills.
