Job Title: Credit Risk Analyst - Wholesale Lending \ Credit risk analysts play a crucial role in assessing the financial health of our clients and ensuring that we are not taking on excessive risk. As a credit risk analyst, you will be responsible for analyzing financial statements, credit reports, and other relevant information to determine the creditworthiness of potential borrowers. \ Your responsibilities will include: \ \ - Assessing the credit and financial strength of our clients by performing fundamental credit analysis of their financial condition \ - Completing Credit Approval Memos (CAMs) and Final Obligor Risk Ratings (FORR) of our clients based on independent assessment and judgment \ - Continuously monitoring the covered portfolio, including following industry trends and impacts to key relationships \ - Partnering with regional and industry stakeholders in the implementation of credit assessment and monitoring standards for applicable portfolios \ - Supporting ICM UW Voice of the Employee (VOE) initiatives \ - Developing and maintaining knowledge of credit policy and procedures, as well as financial modeling concepts and techniques \ - Identifying potential risk issues and escalating them promptly to management and business partners \ - Building and maintaining relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, senior management, and business partners \ - Providing clear and concise written and verbal communication to audiences of varying levels of seniority \ - Supporting ad-hoc transactions and portfolio reviews, and stress testing as needed \ - Staying up-to-date with industry developments, regulatory changes, and market trends \ - Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and effective execution of credit risk strategies \ - Contributing to the development and maintenance of credit risk models and tools \ Required Skills and Qualifications: \ \ - Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in finance, accounting, or a related field \ - 0-2 years of experience in credit risk analysis, banking, or a related field \ - Strong analytical skills, with the ability to identify root causes and trends and anticipate horizon issues \ - Basic knowledge of financial statements and GAAP accounting or similar governance relating to country of operation \ - Familiarity with credit policy and procedures, as well as financial modeling concepts and techniques \ - Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and concisely to audiences of varying levels of seniority \ - Ability to build and maintain relationships with internal stakeholders, including underwriters, senior management, and business partners \ - Strong organizational skills, with the ability to work under pressure and manage time and priorities effectively \ Benefits: \ This is an excellent opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to the success of our institution.
