**Responsibilities**: - Evaluate, enhance and implement best -in-class AML Compliance policies and practices. - Provide expert advice on AML Compliance policies to the AML/Financial Crime Support teams and the business. - Perform AML Compliance quality and testing, evaluate process deficiencies, analyze control measures, enhance reporting capabilities and recommend corrective actions while satisfying regulatory and audit commitments. Further, assess and identify emerging risks and recommend / drive program enhancements. - Evaluate and respond to escalated matters; further escalate unusual activity as needed. Advise senior management on next steps. - Create, develop and deliver relevant training to business and functional partners. - Additional duties as assigned. - Has the ability to operate with a limited level of direct supervision. - Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy. - Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members. Qualifications: - 6-10 years relevant experience in AML - AML Certification is preferred - Fully Bilingual English-Spanish. Advanced Level in English - Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills - Self-motivated and detail oriented - Advanced analytical skills Ability to both work independently and collaborate with team members **Education**: - Bachelor's/University degree, Master's degree preferred Additional responsibilities include: - Provide guidance and oversight related to the implementation of the Global Sanctions Program to Citi Businesses and Functions in the country. - Escalate policy waiver requests and their extensions to Compliance Sanctions and monitor compliance with approved requirements. - Provide guidance to Citi businesses and functions in Internal Audit ("IA"), Compliance Assurance ("CA"), and Regulatory Reviews, including sanctions processes, and consult with ICRM Sanctions Global as appropriate. - Maintain an overall understanding and understanding of the highest-risk products and services offered in the country, such as those reviewed by NPA (New Product Approval), and key screening processes regarding client onboarding, sanctions list updates, transactional screening, and changes to client data. - Identify new developments in local sanctions laws and regulations. In case of conflicts of law, consult with Legal and ICRM Sanctions, as appropriate. - Escalate significant findings in accordance with Citi's Enterprise Escalation Program. - Contribute to the annual Training Needs Analysis process to ensure that any in-country Sanctions-related training needs are included in the Annual Training Plan. - Support the OFAC Risk Assessment (“EWORA”) process for all lines of business and functions, in accordance with global instructions. - Provide a timely response to regulator requests.
