Job Description The role of Ocean Freight Forwarder plays a crucial part in ensuring the seamless management of shipments within assigned regions. This position is dedicated to proactive customer engagement and serves as a bridge between customers and our network to enhance the customer experience. 1. Respond to customers consistently and confidently by providing accurate information in areas such as shipment status and tracking, documentation requirements, transit time and prices through phone calls and emails as required. 2. Ocean operational knowledge covering shipment creation, track and trace and delivery at destination. 3. Enhance service experience by exercising professionalism and empathy when dealing with each individual customer's varying needs and demands. 4. Effectively communicate with colleagues focusing on stressing a sense of urgency on behalf of the customer. 5. Meet all commitments to the customers in terms of follow-up/ongoing communication. 6. Follow up with operations for booking/schedule/pre-alerts. Validate and share details with the customer. 7. Exception coordination/resolution with operations & simultaneously send proactive updates to the customer. 8. Accept customer requests for quotations and send them to the quotations team for processing. Pass leads to sales. 9. Record any customer complaints; solve customer complaints or assign tasks to other functions. 10. Well versed with freight forwarding terms especially incoterms and ways to connect locally to offer best solutions to end customers. Required Skills and Qualifications - Professionals in industrial engineering, international business, or related fields. - Minimum of 1 year in freight forwarding. - Excellent verbal and written communication skills & business skills in English and Spanish. - Customer service and communication skills. - Teamwork and autonomy.
