**Requisition ID**: 207786 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaTech. **Purpose** **The team**: **The role**: When required, non-standard office working hours for scheduled implementations or while on rotational 24x7 on-call support. **Accountabilities** - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Manage, transition, maintain Private Cloud and vary HCI solutions on prem and in the public cloud (like Dell VxRail, Dell Powerflex, Nutanix, GCVE), vSphere Virtualization, vRealize Suite management components, GCVE based IaaS and cloud/on-prem backup solutions. - Adverse in providing Level 3 support & vendor escalations for transitioned services. - You excel in the development of technical documentation of configuration and operational procedures for service operations teams (build & runbooks) & technical specifications. - Contribute to implementation planning. - Champions a customer focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems and knowledge. - Understand how the Bank’s risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporate into in day-to-day activities and decisions. - Actively pursues effective and efficient operations of his/her respective areas in accordance with Scotiabank’s Values, its Code of Conduct and the Global Sales Principles, while ensuring the adequacy, adherence to and effectiveness of day-to-day business controls to meet obligations with respect to operational, compliance, AML/ATF/sanctions and conduct risk. - Champions a high-performance environment and contributes to an inclusive work environment. **Education / Experience / Other Information** - You possess excellent communication (verbal/written/presentation) skills to both a business and technical audience. - You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with the architectural and/or deployment and/or operational support of VMware vSphere Hypervisor. - You have at least 5+ years of hands-on technical working experience with Microsoft Windows Server 2016/2019/2022 administration and/or Red Hat Linux administration 7.x/8.x/ 9.x. - You have at least 2+ years of hands-on experience with VMware vRealize suite (including vRealize Automation, vRealize Operation Manager, vRealize Log Insight, etc ) and/or VMware Cloud Foundation on premise as well as in GCVE/GCP. - You have at least 2+ years of hands-on technical working experience with deployment and/or operational support of Dell vxRail and/or Powerflex hyperconverged clusters or Nutanix HCI solutions. - You have hands-on technical working experience with backup from the following products: Cohesity and/or Rubrik and/or Veeam, etc - You have Disaster recovery and enterprise data replication technology experience, like VMware Site Recovery Manager or other similar solution - You have hands-on technical working experience with Scripting (VMware PowerCLI, REST API scripting, PowerShell & Python, Backup automation,). - You have technical working experience with storage from the following products: NetApp NAS and/or Dell EMC and/or Hyper Converged Virtual SAN. - You have hands-on technical working experience with Networking technologies and operational experience. - You also possess excellent customer relationship skills. - Completion of a post-secondary education in Computer Science, Engineering or in a related technology-based stream. **Working Conditions** When required, non-standard office working hours for scheduled implementations or while on rotational 24x7 on-call support.
