Country Operations Lead Job Summary We are seeking an experienced professional to oversee and expand our country operations. Key Responsibilities: - Manage and expand the country's operational footprint, ensuring quality levels across local ground operations, supplier relationships, and sales strategies. - Lead the contracting of touristic services and components to develop and implement programs and annual tariffs. - Collaborate with the centralized product/loading team to create the country's tariff sheet, defining deliverables and loading plans. - Maintain strong relationships with suppliers, engaging in regular communication to ensure up-to-date and valuable products. - Supervise the operation of bookings generated by HQ, programming and monitoring services according to quality standards. - Serve as a product reference for clients and internal teams, staying up-to-date on trends and the latest product news. - Develop the Commercial Plan alongside Regional Managers and Market Managers from HQ to meet assigned sales targets. - Lead sales actions, including presentations, door-to-door trips, and trade show participation. - Work closely with the reservations team in HQ and ensure the sales & reservations team is properly trained in the country's product. - Represent and be responsible for country operations, serving as the senior contact in case of incidents or emergencies. - Communicate any political, social, or economic situations that may impact operations in the country. - Ensure suppliers meet required standards and that the team adheres to company policies and procedures. - Prepare performance reports as needed for upper management and contribute to ongoing improvements. About You - Previous experience in Operations, Negotiations, and Commercial leadership, with a solid background in the tourism industry. - Comprehensive understanding of the country's inbound tourism activities, suppliers, and trends in the assigned region. - Experience in operating programs in major regions of the assigned country. - Strong commercial mindset with proven negotiation skills and a track record of closing deals and building strategic partnerships. - Excellent communication and written/spoken English and Spanish skills. - Customer orientation, leadership, planning abilities, and teamwork skills. - Familiarity with digital components and new industry standards, particularly API-based connectivity, channel managers, and reservation technologies.
