The Associate Director of Product Management is a key leadership role responsible for overseeing and managing the product development function and processes for a specific solution or set of solutions. This position plays a crucial part in identifying customer needs and business objectives, articulating the vision and success criteria, and rallying team members to turn that vision into reality. Key Responsibilities - Gathering input from various internal stakeholders and external resources to inform product decisions - Acting as the product owner in an agile development process, collaborating daily with UX designers, visual designers, and software engineers to make strategic and tactical decisions about product functionality - Working with platform and development vendors to provide technical management on the delivery of platforms and services - Proposing and managing demand for application work to meet business goals - Defining and managing project and enhancement budgets to ensure efficient resource allocation - Providing VIP support in conjunction with other teams to ensure seamless system operation - Capturing business and functional requirements and writing precise specifications for development teams - Managing projects through all phases, from initiation to delivery - Serving as the primary contact to the business for systems, ensuring effective communication and issue resolution - Managing product strategy and feature/capability set for business solutions to drive growth and innovation Requirements - Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or Systems Engineering - Certification in PMP, ITIL V3, CPIM, or MSCE (nice to have, not mandatory) - Ability to apply platform support and troubleshooting methodologies - Prior experience in product management or business analysis roles, with a focus on driving business value and delivering results - Experience with continuous integration and automated deployment practices to ensure efficient and reliable system operation - Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams - Proficient in Microsoft Office to manage documents, spreadsheets, and presentations
