Business Analyst Specialist Job Description The Business Analyst Specialist plays a pivotal role in the success of our organization by ensuring specific individual goals, plans, and initiatives are executed and delivered in support of business strategies and objectives. Key Accountabilities - Embody a customer-centric culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader organizational connections, systems, and knowledge. - Support the Product Owner/Project Manager by conducting research and analysis, defining user requirements and processes, and participating in rapid prototyping to meet the needs of the supported Line of Business. - Participate in the systems implementation process by developing test cases, performing testing, defining user procedures and workflows, assisting in the development of conversion and implementation strategies, and providing user documentation and training. - Analyze data mapping and lineage activities, build metadata models and business glossaries, and gather information from multiple sources to support business requirements. - Assist the team on day-to-day activities such as coordinating stakeholders, managing and updating project management artifacts, and understanding how our organization's risk appetite and risk culture should be incorporated into daily activities and decisions. The ideal candidate will have a post-secondary degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or similar degrees, and certification in Business Analyst is preferred. They will also have 4+ years of experience working with analysis and design of new features, advanced knowledge of financial instruments, and a good understanding of current IT practices and systems development techniques. Working Conditions The Business Analyst Specialist will work in a standard office-based environment, with non-standard hours common occurrence. The role requires excellent written and spoken English communication skills and bilingual English/Spanish language skills (B2 level).
