**Requisition ID**: 221392 We are committed to investing in our employees and helping you continue your career at ScotiaTech. **Purpose** This position will contribute operationally to the various projects that the QA Automation team is currently working on to contribute to the overall success of the COAT - Delivery Center - Agility & Assurance as needed, ensuring that specific individual goals, plans and initiatives are executed/delivered in support of the team's business strategies and objectives.. **Accountabilities** - Develop and maintain an automation testing framework for UI, API, and E2E testing. - Participates in the automation process, collaborating with manual testers and developers. - Write clear and concise automation scripts with Java, Selenium, Cucumber. - Perform both white-box and black-box testing. - Validate data using SQL queries. - Work in an Agile/Scrum development environment. - Advocate for professional solutions, code quality, and modern engineering practices. - Write deployment scripts and use tools like bitbucket, git to promote code. - Improve the end-user experience by building UI and API test harnesses to ensure service quality. **_ Reporting Relationships_**: **Primary Manager**: **Quality Assurance Automation Manager**: **Direct Reports**: N/A **Shared Reports (solid/dotted if applicable)**: **N/A**: **Education / Experience / Other Information** - A degree in computer science, IT Business/Management or engineering related discipline is desirable, or be near completion of such degree. - Over 1 year of experience in software automation testing. - Knowledge of QA methodologies, tools, and processes. - Experience with automation frameworks and programming languages like **Java**, Selenium, Cucumber, JavaScript, Gradle, Junit, etc. - Good knowledge in developing test automation in a BDD framework. - Good knowledge with database queries (SQL). - Knowledge of version control and defect tracking tools like GIT, Bitbucket, JIRA. - English level A2. _LI_-_Hybrid_ Location(s): Colombia : Bogota : Bogota ScotiaTech is a business unit within ScotiaGBS, a Scotiabank Group company located in Bogota, Colombia.
