Job Description "> We are looking for a senior back-end developer who can help code for API and microservices layer using Node Js (preferably Express Js). This role requires strong experience with authenticated, customer-focused applications, as well as expertise in NodeJS framework, preferably ExpressJS, and Javascript/TypeScript development. The ideal candidate will have experience working with Sinon (Mocking, Stubs), and Redis, json-web-token authorization, and database technology such as Sybase. They should also be comfortable using tools like Jira, Confluence, Jenkins, Bitbucket, and have a proficient understanding of code versioning tools, such as Git. Required Skills and Qualifications "> To be successful in this role, you will need: - Strong experience with APM tools, such as Dynatrace, Splunk, etc. - Knowledge in Object Oriented and Functional Design - Used modern JS toolsets (ES6+, Webpack, Babel, Jest, Protractor) - Worked on productionizing NodeJS servers - Deep knowledge of Agile principles, and the flexibility to adapt your experience to new and evolving environments - Excellent communication skills, including ability to distil technical details into human terms Benefits "> At Scotiabank, we offer an inclusive, positive work environment, and competitive benefits.
