More than 30,000 organizations already rely on us to verify the identities of people and things, grant access to digital services, analyze vast quantities of information and encrypt data to make the connected world more secure. **Position Summary** The Head of Security will be in charge of the security for all countries of the sub regions Andean countries (Colombia, Peru, Bolivia, Ecuador) and CAC (Central America-Caribbean) countries. He will be the security advisor of: - The Andean countries director (for his area of competence) - The CAC countries director (for his area of competence) - Thales Colombia and the Bogota Torre Thales site manager He will assure that Security process complies with Thales Group and GBU specific procedures and policies, including necessary reviews and approvals. He will set up a continuous improvement process to ensure the Group’s methodology and way of working are efficient and aligned with the best practices. In this framework, the objectives will be to: - Develop, implement and supervise all safety and protection measures for people, property, operations and information in its two geographical areas of competence. - Ensure the functions of security and HSE manager of the legal entity Thales Colombia on all of its sites and in all its activities, in compliance with the business instructions of the Thales DIS (GBU), the Group’s governance instructions and local and international regulations. - Be accountable for the management of all physical security systems of the Colombia office. - Provide advice and supervision of crisis management for the benefit of country directors, project managers and Thales Colombia. - Ensure the functional interface with corporate security (DSG) for all questions falling within the area of competence of security. - Develop a network of contacts within the Group with other functions (HR, Bid & projects, R&D;, Finance, etc.) at local (Andean countries and Central America-Caribbean), regional (LATAM) and global (Corporate) level to the harmonious implementation of its mission. - Develop a network of external contacts useful for mastering security issues in its sub-region (Andean countries and CAC): embassies, local security forces, security manager of other international groups, etc. **ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES** **Concerning global security and travellers**: - Realize risks assessments for each country in his area and ensure their regular updating, in coordination with corporate security department (DSG). - Propose, put in place and adapt security rules and processes approved by corporate security department in coordination with the country directors. - Support the country directors and projects managers in all matters relating to security (physical security, training and awareness, local processes, security of communications and information, GDPR for security (DPR), etc.). **Concerning Thales Colombia**: - Ensure compliance with all mandatory standards in Security for the office and the activities performed through audits and verifications described in the standard procedures of Thales DIS. - Responsible for data classification and data protection controls, definition and implementation. - Ensure the good functioning of Security and HSE control and prevention systems. - Describe the yearly budget for the HSE & Security operations and compliance. Manage budget of the area when requested by the site Director. **WORK EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS** - A minimum 5 years of professional experience and/or involvement in Security management. - A serious experience in a security position in an international and multidisciplinary environment - Experience in multicultural environments, especially in Latin America region - Advanced knowledge of information Security Management System (certified training in auditing an information security management system) A professional experience in a Defence, and/or high-tech environment is not mandatory but would be a significant advantage.
