Public Affairs Head COPAC - Location: Bogotá -Colombia - Type of role: Permanent / full time About the job Takesan active role in shaping the Healthcare environment by advocacyand networking activities with National / Regional Health Systems,government, influencers to optimize the institutional environmentin order to contribute to the company’s growth by doing thefollowing: - Monitors legislative and political environment toidentify early enough threats and opportunities for the business. -Defines an adequate strategy including stakeholder mapping, reachout plan, and outcomes and KPI in line with corporate complianceguidelines. - Builds up coalitions with other stakeholders (otherpharma companies, etc.). - Represents Sanofi by ensuring the rightlevel of leadership in trade associations. - Leads and accompaniesa high-performance team. - Manages a team directly or indirectly. Scope & Scale: Develop and execute cohesive strategies, plans,and tactics for all Business Units, therapeutic lines, andproducts. Responsible for representing one voice among Governmentrepresentatives, legislators, media, key interest groups, andhealth authorities to advance the organization’s business, advocacypolicies, and priorities. Main responsibilities: - At COPAC regionlevel, develops and leads a high-performing Public Affairs Teamthat directly supports our Play to Win Strategy. - Defines,develops, and oversees a strategic Public Affairs Plan andindividual work programs to support the company goals as set out inthe Global Corporate Affairs Plan and COPAC region Play to WinStrategy. - Leads a high-performing team that appropriately rewardssuccess, supports career development, leads on DE&I;, andensures appropriate succession planning. - Performance manages theteam through setting and reviewing priorities, providingappropriate feedback about performance, and coaching team membersto achieve their goals. - Supports the professional development ofthe team by identifying necessary skills and competencies andproviding opportunities to learn and develop. - Builds a motivatedand engaged team through recognition, regular communications, andthe encouragement of cooperation. - Develops, manages, and monitorsa responsible budget process for the Public Affairs Team. - Createsan integrated approach to public affairs activities to enforce OneSanofi inside and outside. At COPAC, oversees high-level externalengagement with government and policy community. - Keeps abreast ofthe external environment and understands how Sanofi is positionedand perceived externally. - Plans, develops, and implements PAstrategies, programs, and initiatives at the regional level tosecure timely access to products. - Positions Sanofi as an industryleader in the country. - Identifies and approaches stakeholders andinfluencers to understand common interests. - Operates at a seniorlevel representing Sanofi to government ministers and officials. -Oversees the development of a stakeholder map of priorityGovernment and policy influencers and leads contact programs. -Determines engagement and advocacy strategies to achieve policychanges and business objectives. - Works across the business toidentify cross-cutting policy priorities and ensure alignment ofexternal messaging. - Oversees engagement with relevant patientorganizations to support business priorities. At COPAC, providesstrategic advice to Senior Leaders and establishes effectiverelationships across the business: - Is a key strategic advisor onpublic affairs matters. - Inputs to the strategic business planningprocess for the country. - Contributes to the Global CorporateAffairs Strategy. - Ensures Sanofi’s point of view is heard bymaintaining open dialogue with external stakeholders. - Developseffective senior-level relationships across the business. Management of Resources - Accurately raises Purchase Requisitionsand ensures information is correct. - Updates systems timely toreflect the current status of purchase orders. - Attends to invoicesystem requests quickly and efficiently. Ethical Leadership - Takespersonal accountability to use knowledge and training to maintain agood understanding of ethics and governance relevant to the role. -Escalates decisions or seeks support if personal knowledge is notadequate. About you -Bachelor’s degree in political science, communications, publicadministration, or related field. - Experience leading a PublicAffairs organization to deliver towards company strategy. - Broadknowledge of the Sanofi product portfolio and strategy. -Comprehensive understanding of the country’s legislation and codesof practice. - Robust knowledge of the country’s political andpolicy environment. - Experience in the Pharma sector in Colombia,Andean Region, Central America & Caribbean. - Productivenetwork with government, policy, and industry stakeholders. -Demonstrated ability to influence relationships and drivecollaboration. - Experience leading and developing a team. -Success in stakeholder management.
