Factored was conceived in Palo Alto, California by Andrew Ng and a team of highly experienced AI researchers, educators, and engineers to help address the significant shortage of qualified AI & Machine-Learning engineers globally. We are searching for a highly experienced Head of Product to lead our product expertise, made up of an elite group of multidisciplinary individuals working on a diverse range of products, applications, features, and innovative in-house development initiatives. Functional Responsibilities: - Own the management of the Factored product roadmap, driving internal alignment on projects/products, and adapting based on changing needs and opportunities. - Evaluate internal tooling to identify high-potential products, eliminate inefficiencies, and build solutions that drive operational excellence and competitive advantage. - Identify and develop new external products that can serve as significant revenue streams or provide competitive advantages, leveraging successful internal tools. - Collaborate with our solutions team to successfully commercialize new products, expanding offerings beyond staff augmentation to diverse solutions within our expertise. - Work with the Factored Analytics team and provide dotted-line leadership to other internal engineering projects. - Understand market needs through discovery calls with clients to define product priorities and roadmaps, utilizing prototyping and user feedback for quick iteration. - Make strong decisions and demonstrate a bias for action to ensure rapid progress and effective execution. Qualifications: - Extensive experience (+5 years) as a Manager or Head, leading and building product development teams in fast-paced startup environments. - Over 8 years of experience working with AI technologies (GenAI, ML, DS, DE). - Experience managing teams in high-growth, innovative engineering environments with demonstrated leadership in project planning, people management, best practices, and technical excellence. - Experience in a professional services company is preferred. - Real-world experience building and optimizing distributed/remote product development teams. - Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to present complex technical information clearly. - Proven ability to lead, manage, and inspire teams to meet objectives. - A strong product background in tech companies, building products from scratch, working closely with engineers. - Passion for staying abreast of technology trends, experimenting with new technologies, and participating in tech communities. - Ability to think creatively and implement innovative solutions to business challenges. - Track record of good decision-making and agility in a dynamic environment.
