Job DescriptionThe Software Engineer performs a wide range of duties including some or all the following:Prepares and integrates Actimize solutionsEnhance existing solutions to match client requirements by configuring and customizing software using Actimize software, SQL / PostgreSQL and other technologies like JAVA SpringBootDetermines technical feasibility by evaluating requirements and analysis as well as proposed solutionsTests and troubleshoots software solutions, configurations and customizationsProvides information by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing development and service issues.Utilizes software engineering tools such as configuration management systems, build processes, and debuggers in the software development processPerforms technical root cause analysis and outlines corrective action for given problemsAbility to create databases, objects views and indexes, write and run queries to inspect data in the database.Ability to write XSD to define XOB model. If API integration is planned, there may be a need to understand requests and responses, in a JSON format.Ability to interact with a REST API. Ability to understand and diagnose any problems encountered.Apply a sense of urgency, commitment and focus on the right priorities in developing technical solutions in a timely fashionJAVA language is needed to implement Actimize software application.QualificationsStrong JAVA experience 2 or more yearsDatabases: MS SQL and PostgreSqlOperating systems: Windows and LinuxWeb App servers: Tomcat or WebSphereIntegration experience using APIs, DB, files, queuesAWS/Kubernetes/Container experience is a plusExcellent communication and problem solving skillsPro-active approach to projects and problem solvingProficiency in use of the IDE.Financial industries experience is a plusAdditional InformationThis is a Hybrid position in Bogotá, Colombia.
