Job Description What will you do as partof the team? 1. Maximize daily sales calls in the field whereleadership examples drive sales effectiveness with team players. 2. Manage selected hotel key accounts and participate in thenegotiation of all major account contracts. 3. Manage and monitorthe annual processing of RFP's for meeting and group needs withinthe hotel. 4. Oversee monthly, quarterly and 12-month forecasts andattend forecast meetings to develop monthly tactical salesstrategies/action plans to overcome shortfalls againstbudget/forecast. 5. Lead the preparation of monthly and quarterlyaction plans for meetings and events to drive results and improvesales performance by updating the hotel sales and marketing timetable. 6. Develop and monitor the volume of new businessopportunities for the hotel on a weekly basis. 7. Conduct trainingsessions for sales staff as required. 8. Attend DOSM Required RoadShows, Both International And Local. 9. Responsible for personaland direct achievement of individual objectives and personalrevenue and budgeted company goals in assigned market or segment.10. Take personal responsibility for understanding the budgetguidelines required to enable empowered decisions in all ratenegotiations and implement revenue strategy. 11. Ensure customerneeds are well anticipated and driven by the team. 12. Understandmarket trends, client needs and establish tailored offers toattract new clients. 13. Prepare weekly, monthly, quarterly andannual reports as needed. 14. Develop, energize and lead amotivated, competent and cohesive team through the implementationof approved sales reward and recognition programs and HRperformance management programs and implementation procedures. Qualifications 1. Bachelor's degree and/or hotel managementdegree/diploma and/or minimum 2 years as a sales representativeand/or equivalent industry experience. 2. Must be able to speak,read, write and understand the primary language(s) used in theworkplace as well as English language. 3. Requires excellentcommunication skills, both verbal and written. 4. Most tasks areperformed in a team environment with the employee acting as a teamplayer. 5. Knowledge of sales tactics and strategic skills. 6. Mustpossess computer skills including, but not limited to, MicrosoftOffice. Good knowledge of Opera Sales & Catering & PMSsystems in order to be proficient in room control and meeting spaceavailability. 7. Ability to evaluate/assess performance fairly. 8. Knowledge of the hotel and competitive environment.
