Job Description: We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic individual with sales experience to join our business development team. As a Business Development Specialist, you will work closely with our Founders to identify new business opportunities, build relationships with potential clients, and promote our services to the market. This role is ideal for someone who is interested in a career in business development and, ideally, has experience in real estate, or in software companies and startups. Responsibilities: Conduct market research and analysis to identify new business opportunities in the real estate industry, specifically targeting property management companies, real estate operators and investors. Prospect potential clients and develop new leads. Build and maintain relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction. Collaborate with the Founders to develop proposals, presentations, and other sales materials that cater to the needs of the real estate sector. Attend and participate in client meetings and industry events related to real estate and property management. Identify and assess competing software companies and startups in the real estate and property management industries to identify differentiation opportunities in our sales pitch. Assist with the creation of marketing campaigns and promotional materials aimed at property management companies, real estate operators and investors. Support other business development efforts such as onboarding clients, providing training, and support to existing clients, as required. Requirements: Currently enrolled in a post-secondary program in Business, Marketing, Real Estate, or a related field Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build and maintain relationships with clients in the real estate and property management industries, as well as software companies and startups Excellent verbal and written communication skills Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) Self-motivated and able to work independently as well as part of a team Ability to multitask and prioritize workload effectively Experience in real estate technology, software companies or startups, in general, would be an asset.
