About the Role We are seeking an experienced Operations Support Engineer to join our team in Bogota, Colombia. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring the overall success of our Emerging Technology & Platform Engineering department, executing specific individual goals and initiatives in support of our business strategies and objectives. Key Responsibilities: - Champion a customer-focused culture to deepen client relationships and leverage broader Bank relationships, systems, and knowledge. - Monitor and respond to 24/6 batch jobs and SLAs, escalating issues to level 2 support teams when necessary. - Document and maintain operational procedures and processes, creating/maintaining operational dashboards and metrics. - Ensure activities conducted are in compliance with governing regulations, internal policies, and procedures. This role requires strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills to effectively identify and resolve complex issues in a fast-paced environment. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of multiple computing platforms, UNIX shell scripts, and database technologies such as SQL, Oracle, Sybase, and DB2. A postgraduate degree in computer science, math, or engineering is desirable. Dimensions The incumbent is responsible for monitoring multiple batch job processes, which requires high attention and availability. The consequence of job failures would cause delays to downstream data consumers.
