Job Description Ruhrpumpen is a dynamic company that values innovation and creativity. We are seeking a highly motivated Sales Support Specialist to join our team in the Water & Desalination markets. Position Overview This role involves supporting Ruhrpumpen as a single point of contact for international engineering contractors and consultants. You will manage your designated territory and lead strategic efforts with regular interactions for assigned accounts. Your primary responsibility is to increase operational excellence (OE) sales by identifying feasibility and FEED studies early and targeting EPCs through their engineering and procurement processes. Main Responsibilities 1. Act as a single point of contact, regularly engaging with customers in your territory to grow business across all project market segments according to established guidelines. 2. Develop and maintain active relationships with key stakeholders, expanding customer interactions through Ruhrpumpen's offerings and solutions. 3. Identify opportunities to extend relationships with existing customers by understanding their needs and proposing beneficial solutions. 4. Represent Ruhrpumpen's products in line with sales strategies. 5. Partner with customers to understand project specifications and scope, ensuring proposals meet their requirements. 6. Negotiate orders, including technical, commercial, and legal terms, to mutual satisfaction. 7. Engage with customers during and outside normal business hours as needed. 8. Maintain all customer and territory communications through daily updates in CRM and sales forecasting, including market and competitive analysis to inform management strategies. Qualifications & Required Competencies - Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field. - Ability to travel within Spain and Southern Europe. - 5+ years of experience selling engineered equipment directly to EPCs, end users, or OEMs. - Thorough understanding of the desalination market and tender processes, including technical specifications and translating requirements into sales strategies. - Proficiency in sizing, selecting pumps, and preparing proposals using Ruhrpumpen quotation and CRM tools after training. - Experience with rotating equipment is a plus. - Proficiency in CRM software for account and territory management. - Fluent in English. - Availability to travel up to 50% of the time.
