Job Description This is a remote position. Schedule: 40 hours a week Mon - Fri 8:00 AM- 5:00 PM (PST) includes 1h unpaid break. Job Description: Healthcare Receptionist As a Healthcare Receptionist , you will be the cornerstone of our client’s medical evaluation process, managing sensitive information and coordinating between patients, doctors, and insurance providers. This role requires a unique blend of administrative prowess, customer service excellence, and a thorough understanding of medical privacy laws. You’ll utilize state-of-the-art secure remote technology to handle appointments, maintain records, and ensure the smooth flow of information in a fast-paced workers’ compensation environment. Responsibilities Manage appointment scheduling for medical evaluations, coordinating with patients, doctors, and insurance companies Handle confidential medical records ensuring strict HIPAA compliance Process insurance verifications and assist with billing inquiries related to workers’ compensation cases Provide exceptional customer service, addressing patient inquiries and explaining evaluation procedures Utilize specialized medical software for data entry, record-keeping, and report generation Coordinate communication between various stakeholders in the evaluation process Assist in preparing medical reports and ensuring all necessary documentation is complete Maintain a well-organized digital filing system for easy retrieval of patient information Focus on supporting Qualified Medical Evaluations (QMEs) for workers’ compensation cases in California Utilize secure remote technology to ensure data privacy and HIPAA compliance Potential for long-term engagement and professional growth in healthcare administration Requirements Strong verbal and written communication skills in English; Spanish language skills are a plus Proven experience in medical reception or healthcare administration is a must In-depth understanding of HIPAA compliance and patient confidentiality practices Proficiency in using computer systems and medical software Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Customer service-oriented with a professional and empathetic demeanor Familiarity with workers’ compensation processes is highly desirable Independent Contractor Perks Permanent work-from-home Immediate hiring Steady freelance job ZR_21391_JOB Requirements .
