**responsibilities**: employment opportunity director, human resources the tla’amin nation is a modern, forward thinking, self-governing nation located on the beautiful upper sunshine coast (qathet region). position summary reporting to the cao, the human resources director oversees the day to day management of tla’amin nation’s human resources program and department. the position provides overall support to employees and managers and ensures that our hr program is aligned with our organizational culture and overall strategic objectives. the hr director is a member of the senior management team and plays a key role in the development and implementation of tla’amin’s strategic plan. key responsibilities performs all duties and responsibilities in accordance with tla’amin laws, regulations, policies, practices, and procedures as directed by the cao. maintains confidentiality as required pertaining to citizens, employees, and general matters of the nation. hr program management - develops an hr plan in collaboration with the cao and senior management team that supports and connects to our overall strategic plan and comprehensive nation plan (cnp). - provides leadership, direction and support in the development, implementation and management of tla’amin’s hr program including: recruiting, onboarding and orientation, employee relations, labour relations, retention & recognition, policy development, compensation & benefits, training & development, safety and wellness, and performance management. - works collaboratively with the senior management team to suppo...
